Great Books Week and NAIWE Blog Tour - Friday's Topic

We've come to the end of Great Books Week. My how time flies when you're having fun. Don't forget to enter our giveaways that are running through the end of October. We would appreciate you bookmarking The Book Connection and checking in again soon.

Here is Friday's topic: When I want to give someone a special gift, I give them [name of book] because…

A pocket-size Bible. Whether or not a person is a believer, the Holy Bible provides us a great deal of guidance for how to survive in this world and how to treat our fellow man. It's not always easy advice, and even for a person like me who has been a believer for many years, it's much easier to read it than to put its advice into practice. But there is comfort in the thought that an all-knowing, all-powerful, loving God has it under control, even when I don't. It's humbling to think that His Son left heaven to become a child like me, only to suffer a horrible death and fulfill His promise of a glorious Resurrection in order to pay for my sins. And as part of my faith, I feel the need to share the message of Salvation with others. Whether they come to Christ or not, I believe it is important to plant the seed.

While you're here I hope you'll browse around and find some other GREAT BOOKS!
